Accept Jesus today!! It’s in your own interest!!!

Pastor E.A. Adeboye

I remembered an incident that happened sometime ago. I was working on a project and suddenly, God told me to write a letter to a prominent Chief telling him that God will forgive his sins only if he can give his life to Christ. I wrote the letter. I asked the Lord for the address. The Chief was very popular in his town. I wrote the letter, inserted it in an envelope and sent it by mail through the Post Office to the town where the Chief lives. Within three 3days, the man got the letter and sent his driver telling me he would come to see me himself.

We met. I told him what the Lord said.  I preached the love of Christ to him and told him to give his life to Christ. He said he would think about it. For 2years, I followed him up. I preached to him every two weeks but his response was I will think about it”. There was a time the Chief had a massive stroke. Before the situation became worse, he told his people to call me. I went to meet him. We prayed. To the glory of God, within few minutes, God healed him. You will never see the traces of the stroke. After the healing, I asked the Chief, “are you ready to give your life to Christ now?”. The Chief responded: “I will think about it”.  I later left him to his fate. I stopped calling him. Later he died.

My brother. My sister. Jesus is standing at the door of your heart, knocking. Revelation 3:20 says: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me”.   Jesus is not an armed robber. He wont force the door open. If you refuse to open the door of your heart and accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, a day is coming when you will also knock to enter His Kingdom after you die and He will not open the door. I plead with you to give your life to Christ today. Please don’t postpone the day of your salvation. Tomorrow may be too late.
